The carb on my 68 is sketchy, rather than mess with it, I figure I'll just get a new one.  I figured while I was changing the carb, that I may as well get a new intake manifold as well.  I've been looking at the edelbrock performer intake #2115 and 800cfm performer series carb #1412.  Sound like a good combination on a 472 or is there something better out there I should take a look at?  The major downside I'm seeing is that the stock A/C compressor will not fit (according to the site).  What would be the best remedy for this? (not to include removing the A/C completely)

Hey Sicks:  Not totally familiar with your year of car but if it is only a clearance issue could you not make a stretched version of your A/C bracket, get a longer belt and get your new carb. set up humming??? I don't think you are going to find a retro fit kit so you have to get creative.
