Hi all, I have a 1994 Cadillac Sedan DeVille, which currently has 71xxx miles on it. It was originally owned by my late grandmother-in-law and I purchased it from her in September 2003. At the time, it had 46xxx miles on it. It spent summers in MD and was shipped on Amtrack for grandma's seasonal migration to FL. It was a replacement for my 1994 Eagle Vision TSI. I thought the Caddy would be an easy replacement for the Eagle and one that we could keep for many years. In 2004, twins joined my family and since we already had one child, the car seats were a tight fit in the Caddy, so we bought a minivan. In the fall of 2005, I almost sold the Caddy three times. Each time an offer was made, I backed out of the deal because it was too hard for me to part with (those potential buyers must have thought I was crazy). I decided to keep it as my commuter car. Now the kids won't let me get rid of it (not that I would). They love the throaty exhaust, and the ample low-end torque. I like it because in these green times, it makes me a bit of a nonconformist. Since, I've had the car, I've replaced the sim-con roof. My only reoccurring issue has been anything that is belt driven. I've replaced the water pump twice and the tensioner and pulley. Plus, it has had a droning noise since 2005 (and the service ride control light, which I ignore). That being read, in the last 24 months, I've only had oil changes and a tire rotation and balance. Overall the car is in good condition and I could see keeping it another 10 years or so, without too much effort. Thumbnail Image
