C'mon Zal, what's a group?  Give me a club any day!  the camaraderie! the friendships!  the mutual support!

the'95 proto seems to be a typical GM update of the 80's and 90's.  You remember it -change the headlights, taillights and call it new!  LOVED taking the Script from the taillights and moving it to the trunk lid. Looks like they were letting the accountants do the future products.

Bill,

you are new here, relatively new.

Soon after the transfer, much of the expert team left:
the Engineers,
the GM Cert TECHs.
many of the original car owners & founders,
much of the original data evaporated or got buried,
some of the experts live on, in the the remaining AAG sites.
and so does the data.

There may be some here today that take all that for granted, even say we dont need them.  I would disagree.

Personally having had numerous communications with some of those folks, over time I see the fading of reality what is correct and and what is myth.  However, a few of those folks still lurk around "Club sites" still using the name A.A.G.

Today, the A.A.G. archives reside in several homes, including Johnny Monso's and mine ..  I extend an offer of cooperation to Johnny.  There is only so much I can do with the archives I hold in my hard drives.

that's my baby up on Ebay.  Sadly, I needed a car with a backseat.  I just bought an 05 CLK 500 convertible, and need the space in the garage, so the Allante must go.

Hopefully she will go to a good home!

Steve,

you are selling at the worst possible time, not only in the history of the Allante, but seasonal.
Later Spring will most likely bring better prices.

Zal,
I know, but I'll be needing the space soon.  I doubt the price will change that much between now and April-May.. [image]http://www.allante.us/yabbfiles/Templates/Forum/default/cry.gif[/image]

Steve,

your Montana Blue is one of the cars I enjoyed looking at, in fact, it was for a time, a windows background .. I will miss it.

how long were you here?

I know you were already here a very longtime when I found you guys back in '02.  the system only back dates to '02 .. tell everyone, how long you were here, from the old days of the Allante Appreciation Group .. AAG ?

Its hard to have a "which is better" game anymore with so many of the original '93 owners/founders selling the cars and moving on.

Most of the new owners in the past two years, dont seem to understand what it took to build the technical archives that keep the cars going 15 to 20 years later.  Efforts by guys like yourself.

thank you Steve

A.A.G. was very cool, lots of good mamaries, I miss it a lot.  Bill would have been a good addition to A.A.G., can't say the same for others that surf the new site.  There was a time I would have made the purchase if I could, but now with lots of stuff flushed or evaporated it's not worth anything close to what it once was. It's too late to be a potential saviour.

It's a great word.

Folks .. do not confuse the two:

- Allante Appreciation Group - A.A.G.; the people, the owners, the founders, the experts.
- Cadillac Allante Club of America - C.A.C.A.; AN

Stealth serves the A.A.G. and their members, past and current.

To those that do not know, the A.A.G. does remain as an entity.
