New product release: 2008 3.6L CTS Cat-Back!!!! - 3/12/2008 2:09:27 PM    Magnaflowrep   Posts: 18 Joined: 5/2/2007 Status: offline Magnaflow Cat Back system #16831 for the 2008 3.6L CTS  MagnaFlow is pleased to announce cat back system #16831 for the 2008 3.6L CTS. For specs on the system’s configuration, pipe size, layout and tip configuration, see pictures below: The new cat back system for this application has been dyno verified to make 8 hp and 5 lbs. ft of torque. It features full mandrel bends (no compression bends, like those done at muffler shops) for maximum flow and a straight through, wide open muffler with NO baffles, NO chambers and NO restrictions. The system installs with simple hand tools and in most cases, can be installed by the average do-it-yourselfer in 30-60 minutes. As of right now it's only documented to fit the 08'. It may require modification to fit earlier models. I don't have any notes on exactly what, if any modifications may be required as we have only tested it on the 08'. If you try this system on an 05' I would appreciate feedback on the fitment so I can make a note for future customers. Please let me know if you have any further questions. I'll even take pictures! Unfortunately I can't send you one. Our engineers have to do the testing on vehicles to ensure fitment before we can list a system for a specific year, make, and model. This is for cataloging and liability purposes.
