I recently purchased Corvette Z06, the dealer installed a solenoid/switch to bypass the CAGS (computer aided gear selection which kicks the gears from 1st to 4th on slow starts). Is that solenoid switch available for my 6 speed CTS-V? If so is it installed the same way as on the Corvette, and will the dealers do it for you? Thanks 400 HP V Bill

I just joined. I have a 2001 Vette with the CAGS installed. I am in the process of trading for a CTS-V. Should have it by end of week.. if dealer agrees to prices.. haha I have looked all over for that StealthyV firm or what ever it is that you mention above and could not find it.. could you please email me as to where i would buy it or who sells the CAGS cutout. Also where to get the front rotors and exhuast system other than from dealer if you know. He wants $2500.00 here.. which I think is way above market.. thanks a million..

We have the CAGS eliminator for the CTS-V in stock $18.00. We also have a set of 4 slotted rotors ($694.92) and a stainless steel brake line kit ($150). If you're interested in headers for it we have a set of CTS-V off road long tube headers ($1631.38). header pic

Bill, I have a Z06 also. When I had the turbos installed, my installer removed the 1 to 4 skip feature in the CPU. So, I know of 2 ways of doing it. 1, have a tuner remove the code, or 2 you can buy a module. Mid America (for vettes) sell the skip feature wiring, and it's only 20 bucks, and it installs in minutes. You could probably buy that one (since it's almost the same engine) or find a CTS V vendor that has an equivalent.
