does anybody know where i can get a cheap transaxle (rebuilt,new,or used) for an 89' FWD fleetwood 4.5L? Im located in Jacksonville FL my caddi's sitting unntill i get it fixed but the cheapest i found is 1300.00. Im a broke college kid i need a hook up. I dont know enough to pull one out of a junkyard or how to install it.

cash challenged?

go to your local H.S. Auto Shop and see if one of the kids will pull it at a salvage yard and install it for a couple $100 bills. i bet you get takers.

also, some salvage yards have "moon lighting" mechanics that will do it for you.

one more? go to your local parts houses. many of the guys there will these kind of jobs on the side.
