After reading the post about "average age of allante owners ".... I thought this might be appropriate...

The first of the baby-boomers are starting to turn sixty-years old. In honor of that occasion, a number of popular songs of our era are in the process of being revised to reflect conditions of the present day.

They include:

1. Herman’s Hermits — Mrs. Brown, You’ve Got a Lovely Walker

2. The Bee Gees — How Can You Mend a Broken Hip

3. Bobby Darin — Splish, Splash, I Was Havin’ a Flash

4. Ringo Starr — I Get By With a Little Help From Depends

5. Roberta Flack — The First Time Ever I Forgot Your Face

6. Johnny Nash — I Can’t See Clearly Now

7. Paul Simon — Fifty Ways to Lose Your Liver

8. Commodores — Once, Twice, Three Times to the Bathroom

9. Marvin Gaye - Heard it through the Grape Nuts

10. Procol Harem — A Whiter Shade of Hair

11. Leo Sayer — You Make Me Feel Like Napping

12. The Temptations — Papa’s Got a Kidney Stone

13. Abba — Denture Queen

14. Tony Orlando — Knock 3 Times On The Ceiling If You Hear Me Fall

15. Helen Reddy — I am Woman, Hear Me Snore

16. Willie Nelson — On the Commode Again

17. Beatles - A Hard Day’s Viagra Night.

18. Beatles - All you need is Fiber.

19. Beatles - Lucy in the wheel chair with dentures

20. Bealtes - I Want to Hold your Cane.

Don't get "old."  You don't realize what you have to give up no matter how physical you try to remain. Unable to see objects three feet away (even with the use of glasses) in the engine compt. Unable to work under a car because of the same thing and the difficulty of dragging yourself out from under and then standing up. Checking something under the dash!  Forget it.
I find myself now bringing a "camp chair" and good book with me when we go on our daily walks along the "Cape Cod Canal"  so that we can rest between the "two miles"  Sometimes find ourselves spending several hours when there are a good set of ocean ships going by. Its amazing to watch ships just a hundred yards away passing by. Often wondered why the "corps of engineers" budget does't allow for benches along the canal. It is always lighted and a little weird on foggy nights. Interesting also when seeing a huge asphault carrier for instance flying the Irish flag with Dublin on the stern and try to figure out if it is bringing asphault to the US or bringing it from the US to Ireland.
"Too" the "big dig" or a little "misappropriated" from the big dig going to Ireland.
You get the picture. Retirement is great but getting old "SUCKS."

Thanks Zin for giving me so much to look forward to.  Actually my ole man says the same thing. His head says yes and the body parts say no. As long as you can get the top up and down on the allante things are fine.
