The ABS and Traction Control dashboard lights just lit up on my 2000 DTS which has 154k miles.  The "Service Stability Control System" message is also showing in the Information Center.  Are there any steps I can take to trouble shoot this on my own, or does it need to go to a shop to be scanned for specific codes etc.?

The front rotors and front brake pads were replaced 3 days ago.  Could that have something to do with these indicator lights coming on now?  They've never come on in the past.

Not 100% sure but my friend is a mechanic, and I had... well have the same issue with my 02 Deville.  ABS, Traction Control, and Brake lights light up and stay on... he just saw those 3 lights and told me it wasa speed sensor.  The funny part is my trusted mechanic said the same thing but could not determine which one ($peed sensor is $300 to $400 bucks a pop and I can''t afford to start replacing random expe$ive parts.  Unfortunatly the Cadillac dealership by my house went out of business.  Don''t know what good that would do for me.  Good luck.

I have the same model and had exactly the same problem but it was intermittent. Also had a stabitliy control message. One day the brake lights failed to work as well and the brake light switch was replaced. The ABS and traction lights and message never came on again. The brake light switch is easy to replace its next to the brake pedal. Next time I will do it myself.

This may not be your problem but its easy to replace the brake switch.
