It was a 1989 ford mustang lx convertible, 75k miles original, I wanted to make a convertible fast becuase they were considered the underdog of the foxbody world because of the extra weight. The car weighed in at 3846lbs without me in it....so it was a 2 ton machine with me inside. I always run my cars at the track the same as I drive them on the street, so I was running in the mid to high 14's with it when I first got it. Well a few months after purchase I put a top end kit on it from trickflow which included street heat heads, stage 2 trick flow cam and street heat intake, long tube headers, 4.10's and a zex dry nitrous kit. Car ran in the low 13's at that point running nitto 555r drag radials, that was n/a then when i went and got the car tuned with the spray and ran it I blew the motor cause of a mediocre tune and 125 shot of dry nitrous my first run. Im going to make a long story short, it now has a 347 stroker 10.5: 1 compression, forged internals, all arp hardware throughout te car, afr 185 heads, same intake, same exhaust, same gears, tremec tko 600 trans, nx express wet kit with a 150 shot, the car ran 12.10's all day long at 117mph with drag radials and only a 1.9 60 foot which left alot of et if I had ran slicks, the bad part was I was never able to run the spray becuase i had a vert and the rules were a little more strict, I would constantly get booted off the track for not having the proper safety equiptment. I owned it for 5 years and it killed many a corvette, trans am, camaro, mustang, gto, supra, you name it I hooked and booked when it came to the street racing. I do miss the car alot, but I needed to sell it in order to purchase my first home which i do not regret, I love this house and im 24 years old and finally making something of myself, even though it cost me my most prized possession.
