Again, it depends on which 5.0 we are talking about.

Unless we got a Supercharged 5.0 GT, I dont think I  pull up next to a CTS-V, specially a '08 CTS-V AWD.

Any CTS-V, properly driven, can and will smoke just about every Vette, Camaro, and Stang GT on the road,
with very few exceptions.

The 4 doors dont slow the CTS-V one bit at all.

stock vs. stock I wouldnt even try to argue, but like stated before im very much into modding, my last of the 4 stangs i had was a 347 stroker, tko 600, afr 185, 4.10's, and a 2 stage kit, one was a plate between the plenum and lower manidolf and the other was a shark nozle at the tb.

hmmmm .. do we call a 347 stoker a 5.0?

But, none the less, exactly my point.  within the ranks of STOCK 5.0's there are monster
differences starting at  .. 160 hp and going up to like 650 hp?
.
Fox must be speaking of smoking the old carb stock 5.0's .. my 5.0 can smoke those
w/o putting the pedal to the floor..

At any case, i can drool for a '08 CTS-V  AWD .... yep.
Everything i seen tells me, it is the car of the decade to own.

Vette wont catch up til  2012, and even that is a maybe.

==========

dang .. where do i move this thread to?
I gotta think about that.

Yes i agree a 347 is no longer a 5.0....and my uncle had a 96 eldo, and i took it out a few times, and have left a few bolt on stangs in the rear view, especially from a rolling standpoint.
