I wish it was that easy...

I tried to get updates a couple of years ago - I have the CD based Nav system in my 2003 CTS...

Check this:

https://www.gmnavdisc.com/faq-browse.do?category=SUB

Third Quuestion and answer:

Q: Are customers who own '05 MY or prior systems going to receive this benefit?
A: The owners of '05 MY and prior GM vehicles equipped with a DVD-based factory navigation system will be able to order a disc update or disc replacement from the GM Nav Disc Center at market price via the Web or toll-free number. Disc replacements but no disc updates will be available for CD-ROM navigation systems.

thanks a lot. one more question does anyone else have problems with paint flaking off the buttons on the radio and stuff and looking bad, and if so how do you fix it?

Replacing the radio because the buttons flake - yup... I agree. I was replacing the radio for other reasons... I gave up on that - it works, just displays strange stuff on the soft buttons (instead of the radio stantio call letters, a portion of the RDS information *sometimes* magically appears there) but since the radio station stays tuned and I know what it is, I just don't care any more. I was actually thinking of trying a Sharpie where the paint flaked - it couldn't look much worse...

Does this 2003 CTS nav system have an available video input?
