The Battle Before the War
Drift @ Dromo returns for a fifth edition

October 3, 2007 (Orange, Calif.) – Perhaps its nervous energy ahead of the Formula Drift season finale at the House of Drift, Irwindale Speedway.

Or maybe it’s the fact that the drivers of the Formula Drift Championship presented by Circuit City have the need to wring the neck of anything with four tires and a steering wheel.

But they’re back for more.

Two-time Formula Drift champion Samuel Hubinette, X-Games gold medalist Tanner Foust, local hero Kyle Mohan, Formula Drift judge Alex Pfeiffer, and other Formula Drift drivers will be back to race the fans of Formula Drift at Dromo 1 in Orange, Calif. next Tuesday, October 9, from 6:30-9:30pm.

Dromo 1 is Southern California’s premier indoor karting center, featuring gas-powered, European style racing karts, and a fast and flowing track layout that will be a challenge for the guys from Formula Drift and their fans. Each race during Drift @ Dromo will feature at least one driver from Formula Drift.

Reservations for Drift @ Dromo open up on Friday, October 5th. Each race will feature at least one Formula Drift driver, and some have already been spotted getting some practice in at Dromo 1 over the past weekend…

At the end of the night, the fastest eight drivers will square off with the fastest two Formula Drift drivers in the evening’s final.

All of the action of Round 7 of Formula Drift presented by Circuit City takes place Saturday, October 13th on the high-speed banked oval at Irwindale Speedway. Visit www.formuladrift.com for more information and tickets.

The company I work for sponsors Tanner Faust - He is the current points leader going into the final at Irwindale - Go Tanner!!!

They are a blast to watch - although the scoring is a bit too much like ice skating for me (judge's 'opinion').

If you get a chance - get out there though - you'll have a lot of fun.
