I was going through my old issues of Car and Driver Magazine, and I found one from 2003 with a modified Escalade EXT. Lingenfelter (who is most known for modifying Corvettes, and had began doing trucks) placed a twin turbo in an EXT, upgraded the brakes and found it out-excellerated a stock 360 Modena Ferrari, both in the 0-60MPH and the quarter mile. Mind you, we are talking about a 6000 pound truck (mine weights 5960). Undoubtedly, AWD helps to put all the power to the ground. Okay, okay, I know you're burning with two questions, and here are the answers: 700 horsepower (torque was a little higher, but can't remember the number now) and $56k for the mod. Now, sure I would love to surprise my Corvette buddies when I beat them off the stop light. It'd just be a kick! However, can't afford the going price. Besides, for that cash, I could be driving another car...paid in full. Ahhh...toys of the rich!

I've got the mod disease too and have already been thinking about S/C or turbos. It has to be a lot easier to do than a Vette. Hmmmmm.

ZR1, I modded the heck out of my Z06, and I don't think I can justify modding the EXT. I'd love to, but it just gets out of hand!!!! I'd love Twin Turbos in the EXT to match the Twins on my Z, but damn... I gotta get another job or start dealin'.
