Hi my name is Llogan. I am new to the Cadillac forum and was just wandering if anybody owns the CTS? If so I was just wandering if anyone would mind providing some information about it. I was just wandering what year model do you own. Does it seem to be holding out pretty good. Does it seem to be a good vehicle. Do you get lots of compliments on it. What is the gas mileage on the CTS that you own. What kind of features does your CTS provide?

Llogan,
I own a 2004 CTSV. Everyone that sees the car is crazy about it. While I have driven the CTS (v-6) I prefer the power and features of the V model. Beyond the wheel hop problem that is well documented (and somewhat curable...) the car is unreal. It looks great, has a ton of power, and is very comfortable. The mileage sucks, as there is no way to keep your foot out of it. The treadwear is also an issue, as even the front tires (at 12k miles) are wearing quickly, and I haven't been too aggressive with the car in the turns...But if you are looking for a 4 door car that does it all, then it's great. If you're looking for a cheaper way to go fast, find a used LS1 camaro. I owned one prior to this, and for the money there's nothing better in my opinion. JR

I have a 2006 CTS with the optional 3.6 engine and A.T. It's fully loaded including the Navigation System. I just took delivery of it on Oct.1, but we took it on a 1,350 mile vacation in the middle of October. I am totally impressed with the vehicle. On the highway at 85mph it feels smooth and on back country roads it handles great. I would have bought the CTS-V, but it only comes with a 6-speed manual transmission. ( I don't shift gears anymore!) BTW: We averaged 24mpg onthe trip which included a mixture of highway and stop and go traffic. The 3.6 optional engine accelerates great from a standstill as well as sudden highway performance. I recommend the 3.6 engine.
