In the Corvette circles, there is a product called Cleartastic which is a plastic (8 mil thick I think) film that lays over the paint of your car to protect the paint from rocks, causing paint chips. Now, I've done a search online for this stuff as applied to my EXT, and I can't find anything. Anyone know of an equivalent product?

Vette, If you go to your local sign shop and ask for trasparent film they will sell it by the foot. Just grab a spray bottle. add ONE drop of JOY dish detergent. Shake and spray back of film and use rubber squeege and apply to bumper start in the center of bumper and work the water to the outside. once all the water is out trim in areas needed. It's like tinting windows

A friend of mine works at the largest RV dealer in the SE. They buy it in large rolls and trim to fit. He does not like it cause it yellows after 2-3 years and its a PITA to get off. There may be better brands out there, we sell ones that are vehical specific, but i haven't seen any with age yet.
