Default catalytic converter issues

I have a 1990 Fleetwood brougham with the 5.7Ltr i want to remove the cat completely and replace it with a glass pack. is this possible? What kind of problems would this cause? I don't have to worry about e-check inspections because of the county i live in.

The only things this will do is make your engine run cooler, decrease fuel consumption, add horsepower and make the car sound awesome.

Why not consider doing dual exhausts, that would be the best idea and add about 15% more HP. While you are at it get an open element air cleaner which will be good for more HP. You will think you are driving a new car with all that unleashed power.
