1997 Seville SLS Check Rear Stabalizer?
I just aquired a 1997 Seville SLS from a relative of mine with 162,000, and I was told that the information system would give me an error when ever I started the car "warning me of a suspension stabalizer problem" and to just reset the info center or shut it off to make it go away. I was told that the rear air suspension for this vehicle costs approx $1000.00 each to replace. How can I check to be sure that it is the shocks that need replacing?
I've owned a 89" Eldo, 87 Sedan deville, 93" coupe deville, and these at one time or another had air ride problems which was noticeable by a low rearend after sitting awhile or excessive running of the compressor.
I climbed under the vehicle to listen for any noticable air loss and heard nothing. I loaded and bounced the rear of the vehicle to see if there was any excessive running of the air pump for the air ride and heard nothing. is there any other way to diagnos this problem, or sensors, switches, relays that would cause such an error in the rear auto leveling for this vehicle?
Sorry, sorry, sorry. After further research I found this is a 1994 Seville SLS "NOT" a 1997 SORRY!
