my 1992 seville is rubing in the back. i believe its my air ride. pump is on but still i rub. i can't even take the family out in it because there is to much weight and it brings the car down. when i ride a lone it rubs on bumps and even on some turns. what do you recomend? also my e-mail address is hammerhead92010@live.com

 

sounds like old worn out struts. you should be able to jack the rear up and see if the rear struts rubber boots are cracked or have tears in them. most likely thats your problem since its an older lac. No the struts are not cheap but you can find non air struts to replace them, which may use a conversion kit for them. im not sure but you may get lucky to find struts on buicks that didnt have air ride that may interchange. But considering Cadillac used a diff chassis than buick im probly totally wrong. But sometime theres (very few) instances it works out that way.

well the 18's are wider than stock but as long as the tire diameter is the same as the stock your fine. If you have the right tire size o the 18's you shouldnt have any problems. the only thing with bigger rimz is the tire size is generaly wider than stock. So if its rubbing its most likely on the edges of the tire. So once you get your struts checked out i would go from there. Good luck
