Has anyone used a tinted "clear coat" to highlight body lines?
I am interested in highlighting the body lines by shading the area between the windows and the body line below them, as well as below the rocker panel body line. Has anyone used a tinted clear oat that way?

I think FX black candy tint best for clear coats... because you have to do them for highlighting the body lines of rocker panel.. I think you can try but you have to check that which clear coat is good for you car.. Good Luck mate.

It's hard to find a shop to do it
In the quad cities area, the paint shops all tell me I won't like the edge line unless they clear coat the entire side of the car OR at the custom shops it's not considered a big enough job to insert in their schedules.
A couple of paint shops told me it would look better with a custom graphics stripe, so I tried the graphics/signs shops. Most of them consider the job too small to bother, and refer me to other shops, out of which I found a sign shop that does car graphics and will do it - whenever they have a slow day - for which I have now been waiting two months.
