Too bad the poor Easter bunny and the eggs aren't politically correct according to some, but I'm headin south today to see my nieces and I'm bringing chocolate bunnies with me.

Happy Easter to all those it applies.

Happy Easter or Happy 4-08-07. Happy religious tolerance.

Kids will soon be here to search for the baskets the easter bunny left. What the heck they are only 25,25,27 and 32. Snowed last night again in Ohio! Wunnerful spring!

School Renames Easter Bunny 'Peter Rabbit'
ABC News
(April 7) -- A Rhode Island public school has decided the Easter bunny is too Christian and renamed him Peter Rabbit, and a state legislator is so hopping mad he has introduced an "Easter Bunny Act" to save the bunny's good name.

wcoates, I haven't had a snowy Easter in years. Wish I did though, miss that white blanket.

Good Lord. I hope we haven't forgotten the "meaning" of Easter, too!

(Hint: Its not about bunnies! Chocolate or otherwise.)

Heck no .. the meaning is certainly not forgotten, but also keep in mind that we got Easter .. and .. Passover (Pesach) .. and in conjunction with both .. we also got the bunnies and the eggs .. both arising from ancient rites of fertility dating back 10,000+ years ...

I'm unsure how all that ended up in the same basket, but who am I to argue .. some of us celebrate the escape of Hebrew slaves from ancient Egypt, some of us celebrate Christianity, some of us celebrate the acts of fertility, some of us celebrate them ALL !

It is a time of religious observance & family, followed by excessive eating, kids dressed in cute outfits, silly egg hunts, and bunnies of various sorts ...

remember, w/o bunnies, there wouldnt be any kids and w/o kids there wouldnt be any egg hunts. none of which takes away the religious observance & family aspect.

Happy Easter & Happy Pesach (Passover)!

Those educators need some schooling .. the bunny and the eggs are know to have existed as far as 10,000+ years ago, long long before Christianity.

Peter Rabbit is probably much more Christian related than the Easter Bunny.

Do they have to pay royalties?
