accelerator sticks while driving
I own a 1992 Cadillac Seville STS. Recently the accelerator sticks while driving. It acts as if the cruise control kicks on by it's self. Doesnt do it all time nor have a figured out a pattern (like when the car is cold as opposed to hot etc)
The only thing I have noticed that is different, is on occassion, when starting the car, with my foot on the break, the car will rev to 4000 RPM's and then slowly come down. Not sure if the two issues are related....any suggestions?

I read that too & tried it. I drove like a dream for a day or so & now I'm back to the same problem. It's like the cruise control is coming on on it's own. I will be driving with no problem & then the gas pedal depresses by it's self & the car takes off. I have to ride the brakes until it stops & then back to normal. It may do this 4-5 times on a 10 minute drive to work or it won't do it at all?
