Default Reduced engine power

I have a 2003 CTS, I get the "reduce engine power" display, and "service engine idle control". I have put a new throttle body on and still get the same messages. Any ideas? MAF? Fuel filter? Maybe the wiring harness for the new throttle body is bad? Running out of ideas here? Where can I get a new wiring harness?
Any response would be helpful.
Thank you

I recommend checking for a new wiring harness at the parts department of your local Cadillac dealership. The reason I suggest this is for the fact that if genuine GM parts are purchased there should be a parts warranty of 12 months from the date the part is bought.

I was thinking the samething...It looks like alot of people are having the same problem on there 03' also. The car has 205,000 miles on it,( yes, that's right 205,000 mi) it's been a good car, hate to get rid of it.
Any idea how much a new wire harness cost? Is this something that I can do myself? Is there anywhere I can look up the install for this?
Thank you

Default 2008 SRX Reduced Engine Power

I am having issues with my 2008 SRX. The check engine light comes on and then the message Engine Power Reduced appears. The car then shuts off completely in the middle of the road or does not allow me to accelerate. Dealership says they may be able to fix the problem if they replace the pedal assembly and the computer module but they cannot guarantee that this will even solve the problem. The vehicle causes anxiety when I try to drive it because I don't know if it will leave me stranded in the middle of the highway or get me hit because I can't move. Anyone else having this problem?

@DrB88, how are things going with the SRX since it’s been to the dealership?
