Hello everyone, I own a 98 Deville with ONLY 88k on it and LOVE HER! Ive had this problem on startup and even after she warms up the motors revving about 2000-2500 at idle and when im driving it, she revs even higher! Ive researched n read many forums and from what I could gather, I needed to change the throttle position sensor or the idle control valve sensor or clean the throttle body to prevent it from sticking. They all make sense and Ive done ALL of the above. I even unhooked the battery hoping that would clear the check engine light and reset the computers. After changing the 2 sensors and really cleaning the throttle body well, shes STILL revving like she wants to do a burnout and run a 1/4 mile! LOL! If anyone knows that Ive missed something or if theres another sensor or anything I can do to stop this problem, it would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks again!
