Default Blue Jean Stains on light colored leather

I have my first Cadillac, a 2016 XTS and I am getting a dye transfer from blue jeans. I am getting mixed answers for cleaning. What does Cadillac recommend?

Cadillac will answer not warranty. Of course you can try to get a "goodwill out of warranty repair" dye transfer is normally not considered a defect. Is it from all or one pair? Dye transfer correction is iffy ;the problem is the leather is dyed. Dyes are absorbed by the material you will need a professional to look at it. Worst case you will need a new cover. If you had a "fabric protection" installed when you bought car you should contact them first. They will arrange inspection and authorize correction. If you attempt something prior they could deny claim.

I was looking for a recommendation on how to clean it. I guess a good detail shop is my best answer.

For mikegander,

To remove dye transfer from blue jeans simply buy the Mequiar's Quick Interior Detailer Cleaner spry. Sold at Walmart or auto parts stores for about $5.00, 16oz spray bottle. Perfectly safe for all interior cleaning, will leave the surface as origional, leaves no shine, etc. effects.

Simply spry it directly on the blue jeans dye area wetting nicely the area, let sit for 10 seconds and using a clean terry cloth rub back and forth firmly, rotating the cloth. Maybe repeat a second time.

I have been using this product for quite a while. Also has a very nice new car smell that will disappear in a day.

Lcmjaguar, do you have a part number? Seems like there are a couple products that are similar.

It is Meguiars G13616 Quick Interior Detailer Cleaner.
The link below may work to show the actual bottle.
