Default 96 SLS oil light and a couple of other questions

I have a 96 SLS with 66k and its in beautiful condition, always garaged

some times and not always my Check Oil Light will come on, took it to the dealer and said it was an expensive fix, as they would have to lift the engine and replace the oil sensor
this problem will only accure when I first start it and if I drive it for a little bit and turn the engine off and then restart it will go off

any suggestions

My suggestions are to disconnect negative battery terminal, unplug & unscrew the oil sensor on oil pan (its on passengers side), unplug & unscrew the oil switch on oil filter housing, drain engine oil from pan and filter, refill engine oil to specifications, replace oil filter, and replace switch & sensor.
