Default 01'STS Service System Stability message

Service system stability message keeps coming up on the driver information display, the car (2001 STS) runs and drives fine. Any info or help would be appreciated.

Usually a bad steering wheel position sensor. The column has to be removed from the car for replacement.

ITS A SENSOR PROBLEM--OR AS IN MY CASE THE SENSOR IN THE HUB(BEHIND THE DISC BRAKES). ITS EXPENSIVE, SO GO TO A MECHANIC YOU KNOW AND HAVE HIM GET YOU AND INSTALL THE PART. THE HUB IS APPROX $350-500 PLUS LABOUR.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well today i got my car back from the dealer. I took it in for the Service Stability Sytem message. The code i pulled from the car was ABS C1287. That turned out to be a bad steering wheel position sensor. They replaced it and all is now good. Part cost about $85 labor $100. Hope this helps a bit.
