Please help.
I own a 1989 Fleetwood 2 doors FWD 4.5 engine with digital IP cluster.
The problem is in the dash board. The speedomoter dances up when I drive it. The speed reading goes way up and then back to true driving speed. And sometimes the Fuel data center changes on me without touching it. For example, I will have it on "Range" and suddenly it goes to "inst" without hitting the button. Also, sometimes the AC climate readings change on me without changing it. For example, I will have it on "Auto 65 degrees" and it goes to "65 degrees low fan" without hitting the button.
I took it to the dealer and their response is that they never heard of this before, and they told me to wait for a screen to go blank and then, they will be able to know what is the problem.
We cleaned the gas tank last week because of was dirty and the sock was clogged.
What is the problem? is it the BCM unit? is it a VSS?
I get only the E30 code in the diagnostics

E030 relates to ISC. For display problem you need to find different shop. If you want to try it yourself; you need to get a factory manual and someone good in electrical ,if you are not, to help you.
