2000 Escalade Water Pump

Has anyone replaced a water pump on a 99 or 00 Escalade?
can this be done from under the vehicle?
If not what do you have to remove to get to it?
Do you need a special tool to remove the Fan?

Remove upper fan shroud. You will need tool to remove fan clutch. Parts store may sell or rent it to you. Fan clutch has left hand threads.
