What is to the right of the black buttons?

Default What is to the right of the black buttons?
I found out the black buttons are for garage door.
But it looks like a microphone to the right of the buttons.
Is that a microhpone?

Why is it there and what uses it? What can use it?

96 eldorado with sun roof.

Try pushing it and keep a track on your car and see which system works with it. Can not exactly say something anything because many buttons gets used for certain purposes.
