I have two chips on my hood right next to the grill about the size of a pen cap each. The paint is also cracked in one or two places next to the chips, but for no more than half an inch. My father offered we had to whole hood repainted, but I was thinking maybe there is something else. The ETC is a pearl red double component paint, and I think it would look bad with touch up paint but I don't know for sure. Anyone have any ideas or tips for this ? I also have a tiny bump going inwards in the middle of my hood, where the middle line is on it, about 4 inches from the grill - just a bump nothing more. Any ideas on fixing that ?

 

yeah ..call the paintless dent guys .. there is a ton of them out there.
about $125 per quarter size dent.

I was referring to the bump, wich is a dent from the backside.

for the paint chips, there are touch up paint guys, making the rounds at the car dealers
touching up cars. The service mgr at a GM dealer should have contact phone #'s.

call them, tell them what it costs to paint the whole thing and maybe they can beat it.

there is nothing to lose.
