Stuck in Texas! 1990 DeVille runs and idles rough after 30 miles
My 88 year old father is stuck in a small town in southern Texas with his 1990 Cadillac DeVille acting up. After driving 30 miles, the "Service Engine Soon", "Service Vehicle Soon" and "Anti-Lock" lights come on. It runs rough and the climate control and speedometer don't work.
The local garage put in an OEM Anti-theft module Dad obtained online and an oxygen sensor but they didn't resolve the problem. He took it to Riley's to try to get the trouble codes but they said they couldn't read them. Supposedly the service man had looked at all the codes and didn't come up with anything but wouldn't give them to us. There were a lot of them.
There is an excellent Cadillac Service Department here in Michigan. If we could get the codes to them they are willing to help.
Any Ideas before we give up and junk this beautiful classic car in excellent condition? Thank you so much. sue
