HELP!!! 95 Sedan Deville rear caliper
Good day ladies and gentlemen
I have a deville and the rear brake caliper seems to be leaking
the inside of the tire is greased up with fluid
It is not leaking from the line or the bleeder
is it possible that the caliper needs to be rebuilt and do you think that will help
trying to save a little money and thought I would rebuild it but only if that will help
can there be a fluid leak from the piston???
any help would be appreciated

Curious about all greased up? Are you losing brake fluid? Most of the time it is more cost effective to replace with reman. caliper from Autozone,NAPA, etc. than to replace actuator and seal kit. Also many will come with life time warranty. It is recommended replace / repair both sides not just one.

THANKS FOR THE INPUT>!
As for the "greased up " part, It looks like the inside of the tire is gelled up.
I lose a little fluid but really not enough to be worried.
I was just looking for the cheap fix , I planned on getting new pads, calipers and any rotors I might need. Just trying to wait for tax return.
Any tips on where i can find the rear set of calipers for a deal>?

IF you are losing ANY brake fluid from a caliper, DO WORRY.
its time has come.
the last time i got a caliper for my '88 Allante it was about $45, rem at kragens.
do it yourself kit you may save $10 IF you get it right the first time.
no way i mess with that. aint even close to being worth it.
advice? buy the rem ..
NEVER EVER EVER mess or cut costs with brakes and tires.
they are meant to keep you alive.
dont misunderstand what follows, I dont recommend you drive with any bad components,
you can have a bad rotor and still stop,
you can have worn out pads and still stop
the pads can fall off and still stop,
IF and ONLY IF, the CALIPERS & the MASTER CYL work.
