Default GM Cadillac 2003 DTS - Won't shift out of park

Almost ended-up spending Thanksgiving in the parking lot of Taco Bell half way between GA and MI. Luckly I found the overide switch. Any ideas what I need to do to fix.

Brake Shift Interlock Solenoid isn't working. DTS should have floorshift, spilled drinks near or on shifter can cause linkage to stick and not work. If that is the case, if it's not real bad you can try to clean shifter assembly and it may work.

I took the trim plate off to expose the shifter. I don't see the solenoid it might be under the shift assembly I don't want to take that apart. I ended up using a zip tie to permantly engage the over ride. Not the best idea, but good for now.
