color deville 1989
Hello,
I am looking for the name of the interiour / exteriour color of my 1989 deville (see pictures).
Somebody told me that this was called burgundy, but I think that at least two different reds
had been on the market (I may be wrong). I need this information because I would like to order a
part (arm rest) in the US and the dealer wants to know the color name.
Thanks a lot and many greetings from Switzerland

RE: color deville 1989
In my opinion that looks like burgundy to me, but i wouldn't trust me cuz im colorblind kinda
but i do know they put it on the car what the colors of the exterior paint and the interior are. Im not sure exactly where it is, but hopefully someone on here will be able to help you. I think though that if you pull up the flap of carpet covering your spare tire in the trunk there should be a label there. this is called you Service Part ID label, or SPID. this has all the info about the options and stuff on your car so im guessin it'd be there.
but if you search for your year and make and "color code" on google you should be able to find it dude. good luck over there in swizzi

RE: color deville 1989
Thanks a lot for your help!
I did find the SPI, however I was still not able to match this information to the different color of the table (can not read the numbers on ebay, they are too smal).
Does this SPI provide the information of the interiour / exteriour color?
Thanks and many greeting

colors, rpo codes, spi, cadillac deville 1989
colors, rpo codes, spi, cadillac deville 1989
that is the one, the SPI.
if you provide that to the dealer they should be able to tell you which code applies.
if not, get back to us and we will see if we can break down the codes you need.
My guess yours is the 72U .. usually color codes end with "U"
by the list in this thread, " 72U Red Paint (1980) - Upper "

Hato
I know this is off-topic, but a few years ago I spent 2 weeks driving around Switzerland. Absolutely beautiful, and the citizens could not have been more friendly and helpful.
Good luck with your color search, it appears that you have received some good info here.
