Default Bumper Trim Peeling/Cracking -- How to Repair?

My 88 DeVille has a wrap- around bumper strip that is peeling (rear bumper). The strip is gray, but the underneath looks orange-brown. Is this strip replaceable? If so, what do I ask for and where? I thought about trying to paint it with primer, but I don't want to make things worse. Thanks!

Hey there TH: Common problem with the filler strips because they are so flexible. You can pull the bumper and repaint the fillers if they are in good condition. If not then they are available at www.usapartssupply.com for most models. Have purchased a few from them myself and have been happy with them. Good luck with that.
