'99 Deville - Trunk & Fuel Door open when Starting!
Hey everyone - my first post, and I've got a pretty embarassing problem. On my '99 Deville, it seems that every 3rd or 4th time that I go to start the car, the trunk and fuel door just pop open!
At first I thought I might have been pressing the buttons on the keypad, but no such luck. I've taken the keypad off the ring and the problem still occurs.
Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this problem? I would just take it to the dealer, but we've just bought an '06 DTS so I really don't want to put a lot of money in the '99.
Thanks for the help!

We been trying to figure how to do something like that on the Allantes and you got it for nothing.
My guess, a harness connector issue, cut/frayed wire somewhere or ... err .. or maybe something
over the fuse box shorting across them?
Have you pulled the battery out of the remote and leave it out? i would also try that.
