98 deville security problem, help?

98 deville security problem, help?
i have a 98 deville, had it for about 9 months now. never had any problems till yesterday... does anyone know what to do about, theft system problem, car may not restart, then the servie airbag light comes on , then the traction control light comes on, and the digital diplay just has line where the numbers are supposed to be for the ac,miles per gallon, and remaining fuel........oh and the ac comes on and i cant turn it off.... has anyone had this problem? if so please help

Yikes, here is something so simple you will laugh. Disconnect the battery cable ground, leave it off for 20 minutes and reconnect. Try starting your car.Never had this on my Cadillac but had a Bonneville that acted up like that. I'd also suggest trying your other key at start up.

lol i think thats a good name for her!!!!! ok disconnected battery for probably 45 min. or so. started up everthing was normal for about 1/2mile then is started doing it all again.SO, i havent tried a different key yet, i have to get one made, i only have the one......it's a 98 deville, so it is the #10 ---3.740 vats key, right?

Every car has a different resistance key, well not evry car but random enough. The key has it marked on it. I have to think it is not the key because it started once you cleared memory. Does the car always start even when cluster does crazy things? Perhaps the cluster is getting flaky. If the key is not too costly try it, you need two anyway.

thanks for all the help, found the problem, it was the battery, yes it started evertime, but today it took it 3 or 4 times before it would start, so went to the dealership, they said one or two things. it was either they key---which is 45 or 60 for the gold one or it was the battery not putting out enough voltage, new battery now problem is gone! finally...... thanks again for all the responses

ok back again, it was just a tep. fix, because its doing it again! damn it! i even went and had a new key made too, at the dealer so 48 dollars later.......and nope, nothing different. my voltage is around 13.5-14.5 so im open to any and all suggestions......... i think im ready to give up on the cadi's!!lol --------oh yea by the way thie resistor for a 98 deville is the #2 well at least thats what they sold me
