Recently I bought a new starter for the 97 cadi deville I replaced it with a new one and when I turned the car back on it would say "Theft System Problem Car May Not Restart". THE CAR DOES NOT START AT ALL.

Anyone know how to fix this????

Do I have to enter some type of code to remove this?

I have the same problem, but it's been running with that message and I haven't done anything. Could It be the battery since the lights won't come and interior dome also doesn't come on either. I'll follow your thread. Sorry this didn't help. Do you have lights etc., but it still does not start?

 

Everything seems to be working fine for me. All the lights come on and everything. Its just that it wont turn on after Starter replacement.
