Hello again...

Is it possible to raise or remove the speed limiter on my 2001 DTS? The computer shuts it down at 130 mph, but I have heard that Northstars can hit up to 150 mph. Can anyone help me out?

Your car is limited to 130 because of your tires, speed rated H. It is possible to change the speed limiter but without V rated tires you would kill yourself and possibly others, so I'm not going to tell you.

 

I purchased my Caddy with vogue tires, but it now has Z-Rated Dunlop SP Sport tires installed. These tires are standard equipment on my Mercedes and I was so impressed with the wet weather handling that I put a set on my Caddy.

I know my new tires are rated higher than 130 mph... Can you please tell me?! Anyone???

 

^ i'm not sure there's much you can do without a chip. on my acura, however, although the speed governor comes from the factory set to 140mph, i've been faster than that! oem ecu's are tricky things these days

Well the guy said he now has "z" rated tires. Can the limiter be changed?

 

Speed limiter can be raised, you just have to good reason. So unless your law enforcement it's not going to happen. If you are there is alot of red tape involved.

 

 

I have a 2005 SRX and I can't seem to find the speed limiter fuse does anyone know where that is?

 

Many PCM burn/tuners out there to wake up your N-star and raise up your speed limiter.
A search will help you.
Again heed the warning on speed rated tires! (I know u have them).
