Default 1996 Deville Cooling System leak

Hey guys, thanks for taking the time to read this tread.

I have a 1996 Cadillac Deville and it has recently started to leak coolant. So i took off the the front plastic trim on the bottom and top to see where the leak is coming from. I looked at all the hoses, water pump and radiator to my best extent as i possibly can. This is where it gets good, i realized that the leak was coming from next to the water pump but not from the water pump. I did alittle research and found out that the water pump is attached to its own block for the cooling system, which this block that holds the water pump and stretches to the back of the the engine that is right below the throttle body. I am not 100%, but i believe it has gaskets between the engine and cooling block, which i think my cooling leak is coming from. So if anybody can correct me if i am wrong, i want to fix it myself but i am not sure if i will run into any big problems, i am just a backyard mechanic, trying to do as much as i can on my own. Thanks everybody!

Get a cooling system pressure tester at Autozone or O'Reilly. They loan them for free. Pressure up your system and you should be able to see the leak pretty easily.
