Default Torque Coverter Clutch Problem

I have a 1991 Sedan DeVille, 4.9L . runs really well. I got it in 2003 I believe and it had 151,000 on it. Well after putting about 1,000 of my own miles on it. I desided to change the Tranny fluid. filter, clean magnet and replace gasket. (the old fluid didnt look bad at all. but at 151,000,,...well)
But anyway Its Aug 2006 and I parked it in the garage and drove the Acura around. here we are in Aug 2007 and I brake it out of the Garage. started driving it and its driving like its new. I dont feel the tranny shifting and its getting about 21.9 on city/hwy. but a week ago I get a code E39. still I clear the code and drive another day. E39 comes again. and I did this once more. E39.
Its still shifting fine. I cant tell when its shifting and it Idles low.
Please tell me theres a simple solutions to this besides a new transmition.

E039 VCC Engagement Problem VCC
code for converter lock-up issue, can be caused by a brake switch failing or mis-adjusted,
or a failed solenoid or the connector to the solenoid.

dont know details on your car model like locations of solenoid, but when you changed the fluid,
did you tocuh anything inside? could you have disconnected the solenoid?

did it drive ok afterwards for a few days or did you park it right away?

my guess, trani is probably fine.

Sorry to dig up an old thread but i know how to use the search . I have a 1990 sedan deville with this problem. My haynes, chilton and online manual @ http://www.sjcpls.org/referencetools3.aspx. All dont tell me where to look or how to fix it. I have spent an hour or 2 on google and nothing :/.

What do you mean by brake switch??? My brake light is on but i cant figure out why. Where would i attemp to look for this solenoid. I am not very car literate but with mild instructions i can fix it or replace what is needed. (just point me where and what to look for). Ok so if i give her some gas she hessitates (kind of like the the trans slips but im assuming its the torque converter) and it shakes a little when i brake (like it has a warped rotar). I hope this gives you and idea of my problem or if you can link me to somewhere that can help me fix this problem. Thanks
