I have an 05 STS, how do you know if the wheels are polished or clear coated?

i would think shinny= polished like chrome, and clear coat has a dull gray look, but clear. lol does that make sense? lol hope so

All METAL wheels are either CHROME or clear coated or painted.
Does not apply to carbon-fiber wheels.

all non-chrome (steel or aluminum alloys) HAVE TO BE COATED / painted or they will oxidize badly and quickly.

I'm sure you can tell CHROME from non-chrome. Chrome can be applied to any metal wheels.
