Any advice is welcome. Just purchased in June, white with red interior, bodylooks great after hitting it with some compound. Interior is pretty sound but a split in the dash top is bugging me, tried a vinyl kit but without much success. leather seats show some wear on drivers side but leather in solid shape, just some wear in the color. The top and passenger door were damaged due to a breakin. It is missing the lock tumbler and a little scraped up. the top has a 6inch tear which will need to be replaced eventually, but for the time being it it taped tightly and i have replaced the cables that run the outside length of the top keeping it sealed tight. The engine appears to be sound mechanically, i purchased new white walls and my mechanic says that brakes etc look new.

So i have a beautiful big white car that runs great and is fun to tool around in, but for a few dollars, the thing could be mint. i intend on driving it for fun and then taking the plunge next spring. i would like to do some of the obvious things myself, like the dash. can i buy one, who supplies parts like that? need a latch for the glove compartment. need the clock replaced maybe,,,have to fool around with that first, might be the wiring.

i am missing an L and a D from the eldorado on the trunk . the steering wheel detail is cracking out a bit as well...all little nonsense parts that i can manage, where do i get them?

Welcome to the world of Old Car ownership my friend. My Caddy is fairly new but I also own a 1973 Canadian manufactured LeMans Sport Coupe, one of 3,761 ever built, factory Chevrolet powered L-48, one year body style.....you get the picture.

Start honing up your internet searching skills and stopping at every wrecking yard you come accross, forums like this also great for connecting with other owners.

Found a glove box door on my first search of e-bay:

and a working clock too:

This next one says they make dash mats from scratch:

Of course you could buy the real deal and dye it to match:
