Dear Seville Enthusiasts,

I have a 1998 Seville STS with a little over 80,000 miles. My mechanic has identified the culprit behind the sticking gear shifter. It's at the transmission where the bracket is close to broken. He's looking for a transmission shift linkage, which includes the bracket. It is a discontinued part. Any suggestions for finding the part?

Well, it looks like I've found the part...It's over 600 dollars! Wow. Any suggestions for finding it for less?

Sound like someone selling you trans along with bracket. Check for a "You Wrench It" type auto salvage yard in your area, where you remove parts. 98-04 seville is the year range. Parts Ads where owner is parting car out. Trans shops may have one, if they have parts only cores lying about.
