Yes white smoke sometimes comes out the tailpipes.

does it smell fishy in the car? or are the foorpanels wet? You may have a bad heater core. its located behind the glovebox in a 95 sls.

to find a coolant leak do a pressure test,

he did a pressure test of something.
IMO, too little info and too vague to even start helping.

Have you checked all your fittings!? With the car running, the hood open, and looking down on the radiator, check to make sure that the Tranny Hose (upper left metal looking hose) is not wet underneath, or dripping. The tanks on the 95-97 Caddy's were nutorious after about 100K miles of the tank cracking. I just had to replace mine after 105K miles. If your fittings are wet, you need to change the radiator as it can not be welded or fixed, since the tanks are plastic.

the side tanks ..

often, squeezing the metal tabs that hold the side tanks, stop many leaks there.
not always, but often enough that it is a standard practice.

a damaged plastic tank can be "plastic welded" and often, they do.

all that said, a new radiator cant hurt ...
life expectancy, of a well maintained system. easy 15 years, 200,000 miles.
life expectancy, of a not maintained system .. good luck with even 100,000 miles.
and if that is going to pot, just think of the headgaskets, what they are being subjected too ...

it always amazes me that the same people that are obsessed and go overboard with oil changes,
all but ignore the coolant and brake systems. both of which should be drained and replenished
a whole lot more often than the usual recomendations, specially if you live in cold/wet country.
both systems can render a car into a halt quiker than the extending the oil changes, much quicker.
