C1760 Left Front Position Sensor input fault. Being car was just hooked make sure rod is still attached. Rod can normally be put back together if pulled apart.

I have a 1761 which is a right front. I checked the plug, it was clean and attached. What would the electrical test be to determine if the sensor is functioning properly or if it might be shorted.Thanks in advancefor any help

gee, sorry i didnt get back slowroll..... rod was broke, as you thought. replaced, and all is well.......... THANKS

Hi RD. Its been a while. You and i have identical cars and problems:( I have the RSS 1761 because my rod broke aswell. Ive replaced the rod but still have the code come up. Ive tried resetting the codes etc...do you know where the electrical plug is to check if its clean?
