Ok I have a 1991 Cadillac Deville with digital dash I fond the ALDL I bought a hookup up and tried different things but cant get it to work?
It’s weird the ALDL only has A, B and K, L, M wires are A= black with a white stripe, B=white with a black stripe, K=Purple, L=thin tan wire, M=think tan wire.

Is this ODB1 or 2 I think 1.
What connetor should use?
Is it 160 BAUD or is it the 8192?
Do I use a jumper on A to B or do I use a 10k resister?

Any help would be Grate.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A = Black with a White strip

B = White with a Black stripe

-----------------------
--| F | E | D | C | B | A |--
| |----------------------- | |
--| G | H | J | K | L | M |--
-----------------------

K = Purple

L = Thin Tan wire

M = Thick Tan wire

ps: I know I can use the climent control panle but i would love to see the read out on the laptop.

hi!

I've the same problem with an 1981 deville but I've a solution, that may works with your caddy.

http://winaldl.joby.se/aldlcable.htm

I've built that cable with the +12V from the serial port!
This is an 160 baud connector and maybe it works with your caddy!

I use TunerProRT (http://tunerpro.markmansur.com/) as software with a definition.
Ask for a definition at http://forum.tunerpro.net/

The 10k Ohm resister is a good question, try without it and if it doesn't work, try with it!

I hope I could help you a little!
