i have a 94 sls w/123,000 mi. i changed the trans filter and topped off the fluid. nothing was wrong with it just felt i should change it. well just maybe 5000 mi. later i hear a wining sound when it's cold like it not getting fluid or something. but after driving awile it goes away. but it wasn't doing this before. i got the filter & fluid from advance auto parts , i think i should go to the dealer and get new filter&fluid and try again. by the way can anyone help me find a inexspensive place to buy a remanufactured or new tranny 4T80E 16 bolt pan. thanks in advance.

i would check salvage yards for the tranny...

and as for that noise, is it definately coming from the tranny? have you checked back with the parts store to ensure that it was the proper filter and fluid?
