I am slowroll, I been around the block a few times and mostly surf the tech sections. Many posts I read involve recently aquired cars with problems. Local auctions where anyone can attend are dumping grounds for cars that dealers can't resell, do to title issues (salvage), expensive powertrain or electrical problems, the E-GHOST. Most local auctions are "buyer beware" meaning NO WARRANTY OR LEGAL RIGHTS There are good deals out there, but you need to do your homework. Many times the STEAL OF A DEAL is the seller stealing your money. Dealer only auctions have rules to protect the buying dealer. If your are looking a late model used car at a low price, you may find a used car broker or wholesaler who will work with you on getting the car you want in the price range you are looking for.Hope this might keep someone from getting burned.
