I like the Teddybears song that Cadillac used on their 'branding' commercial last year (the one that on the 60 sec spot actually shows an Allante...)

The marketing types must have seen this video - the old caddy is classic...

and so is IGGY -

Nice post, good to see the Allante dust off the Benz at the stop light drag.

i dont remember seeing that many clips of an Allante on any video.
that RED with the BLONDE i believe is the one that eventually made
it to an official hard copy add of Cadillac .. not 100% sure, but sure
looks like it.

Don't blink - you might miss the allante - but, this one is just like mine!!!!

You might think that it is weird to use Zep in caddy commercial - Iggy - wow - punk rockers must have felt sold out with this...

well, never did get the yacht .. I'm saving that one for my retirement in about 4 decades when i cash
out everything. But i prefer something like this .. big enough to enjoy life, no fuel needed.

No fuel needed? What's the generator run on? Should also have a 4 cyl. motor in it also. Don't worry, I get the idea.

No fuel needed? What's the generator run on? Should also have a 4 cyl. motor in it also. Don't worry, I get the idea.

the ones i have "rented" have had a 6-cyl engine for those times you must have one, like entering a crowded
harbor, OR going through a shallow reef area, OR riding a storm where is it critical to keep the bow into the
waves and avoid de-masting the rig. fuel .. well, if you cook or fish enough, you got byproduct biofuel.

generator? this is the new century .. solar cells or small wind turbine my friend to keep the fridge cold
for the steaks or to keep the batteries charged .. the beer, drop it into the ocean in a net, cool enough,
the potatoes do just fine w/o a fridge, wiskey dont need no fridge .. maybe the wine.

fuel? sure, propane for the grill. bio/dino for the engine.
electrical power? solar or tidal generators.
batteries? GEL Deep Cycle.
lights? 100% LED, little, very little power.
food? fishing pole; spear, fins and mask; rifle.
drinking water? desalinated.
shower? go for a swim instead.
the girl? hellooooo .. sail boat, water, sun, sails ? do i need to say more?

BTW, the ones i have used, in the 45 - 55 ft range, sleep 6 in three separate below deck berths,
more if you like top-side under the stars snoozes.
they move at a good 15 knots in mild weather and surf, faster with a spinnaker, but pretty hard
to sail with less a crew of two - can be done, well focused but what is the point of that.

anyway, with all that, the engineer and survivor training in me, comes out ..
a still very far away dream. oh .. almost forgot, a little Vespa scooter on board for the landings.
Why a Vespa? small to carry on the dingi, since i rather toss an ancher than come into the
piers and use "fuel". No .. no .. no way in hell i'm ever "sailing" into a pier ever again ...

and lets not forget .. ocean, fish, and sushi ...

raw, keeps the PRIMAL urges surging ...

http://thecompassedge.net/archives/Rawmeatmeal.jpg

The meat is brought in great lumps and people dive in and cut it into small, bite sized lumps before dipping it in a spicy, chilli sauce reminiscent of Japanese horse radish sauce, wrapping it in injera (the bread like pancake you can see) and popping it into ones mouth.
